Quatre ans après le départ de Ben Ali, la Tunisie n’arrive, toujours, pas à tourner la page de la dictature policière. Juste la semaine dernière, la presse nationale s’est félicitée du retour en force d’Ali Seriati, l’homme de confiance de Ben Ali et le patron de sa garde présidentielle. Lors d’une cérémonie d’hommage aux anciens cadres du Ministère de l’Intérieur, l’Union Nationale des Syndicats des Forces de l’Ordre annonce la création d’un conseil des « sages » cadres du Ministère de l’Intérieur.
في ظلّ الحرب المفتوحة على الإرهاب، صارت التجاوزات المهنيّة والأخلاقيّة لوسائل الإعلام لا تُعدُّ ولا تُحصى. إلاّ أنّ التناول الإعلامي لاعتداء باردو يمثّل حالة تصلُح للدرس، لأنّه يكشف درجة الإلتباس في العلاقات بين وسائل الإعلام والسلطة. إذ عبّأ الخطاب الأمني المُنطلق من عقاله أنماط ذهنيّة قانونيّة وبوليسيّة تكوّنت طيلة عقود، في حضن ديكتاتورية حصّنها التهديد الإرهابي. وهنا يطُرح السؤال التالي: كيف يستطيع “التعديل” احتواء هذه العودة إلى “التطبيع”؟
Avec la guerre ouverte contre le terrorisme, les écarts déontologiques et éthiques des médias ne se comptent plus. Cependant, le traitement médiatique de l’attentat du Bardo constitue un cas d’école qui permet de mesurer l’ambigüité des relations entre médias et pouvoir. Ainsi, l’effet déclencheur du discours sécuritaire a-t-il mobilisé des catégories juridiques et policières construites, pendant des décennies, sous une dictature immunisée par la menace terroriste. Dans quelle mesure la régulation peut-elle contenir ce retour à la normalisation ?

Le samedi 14 Mars dernier s’est tenue à l’Hôtel Golden Tulip El Mechtel de Tunis une conférence sur les stratégies de lutte contre le terrorisme. Organisée par l’Association Tuniso-Euro-méditerranéenne des Jeunes, cette conférence a été l’occasion de regrouper les principaux intéressés par la question de lutte contre le terrorisme à savoir le Ministère de l’Intérieur, le Ministère de la Justice, le syndicat des Forces de la Sureté Tunisienne ainsi que la société civile et les journalistes.

As hightened political instability in Libya threatens to permeate the region, Tunisian media and political figures are preoccupied with issues at the borders and beyond, whereas few are looking inward to the geographical, social, economic factors associated with terrorism.
It is the transgression from the notion of censorship as a right and protection against physical and verbal violence that Tunisia’s legislative body must now recalibrate in order to advance in this period designated as democratic transition. That Tunisian law adheres to international standards is not merely insufficient, but ill-fitted, unconstructive, and myopic if compliance with international conventions translates into the copy-paste importation of text and a lack of contextualization and comparative analysis.
