Sub-Saharan Africans in Tunisia number 4,200 asylum seekers and 7,000 students, according to the National Observatory of Migration. Since the beginning of the confinement period, many of these migrants, both declared and irregular, are living in extreme precarity. Some of their stories have circulated on social media alerting the public to the vulnerability of those unable to afford rent and meet their most basic needs.
Ils sont 4200 demandeurs d’asile en Tunisie et 7000 étudiants originaires d’Afrique subsaharienne, selon les chiffres officiels de l’Observatoire national de la migration. Depuis le début du confinement, beaucoup de ces migrants déclarés ou clandestins sont dans une situation d’extrême précarité. Plusieurs témoignages ont été relayés sur les réseaux sociaux pour alerter sur la vulnérabilité de ces personnes incapables de payer leur loyer et de subvenir à leurs besoins les plus élémentaires.
حتى نهاية العام 2017 كان 6.2 مليون سوري قد عاشوا انتقالاً إجبارياً إلى مناطق جديدة داخل البلاد، عاد جزء منهم إلى مناطقهم، فيما لا يزال 5 مليون آخرين عالقين في دول الجوار. وهذا من أصل 18 مليون ونصف مليون إجمالي عدد السكان. يتساءل هذا البحث عن أسباب وعوامل تحرّك السوريين وانتقالهم في تهجيرهم القسري إلى هذه الجهة أو تلك، ويتقصى مسارات نزوحهم، وتأثير العوامل المحلية في اتجاهات الهجرة داخل وجوار البلاد، إضافةً لتناول أحجام هذه الهجرات وشرائحها الاجتماعية.
أصدر المنتدى التونسي للحقوق الاقتصادية والاجتماعية، في موفى الشهر الماضي، دراسة تحت عنوان “العنف المسلط على المهاجرات أصيلات جنوب الصحراء في تونس” تتطرق إلى الوضعية الهشة للمهجرات أصيلات جنوب الصحراء في تونس من خلال الوقوف حول وضعيتهن القانونية وأنواع العنف المسلط عليهن في تونس. الدراسة تطرح مجموعة من الحلول على التي يجب اتخاذها على المدى القريب والبعيد للتصدي لهذا العنف وتسوية وضعيتهن على المستوى الإنساني والقانوني. نواة حاورت الباحثة الجامعية التي قامت بهذه الدراسة، هاجرعرايسية.

In 2011 and 2017, two shipwrecks off the Tunisian coast involved units of the Tunisian navy. On both occasions, vessels carrying migrants to Italy were sunk. The first following a collision, the second having capsized at the end of a chase.

Si « migration irrégulière » et « fuite des cerveaux » sont deux phénomènes strictement cloisonnés dans les représentations médiatiques et politiques de la migration, les motifs de départ qui animent les candidats à ces deux formes d’émigration se recoupent bien plus qu’on ne le croit.
